Zalando + KudTax
Connect your Zalando seller account with KudTax to automatically reconcile platform fees, marketplace commissions, payouts and VAT rates across all EU countries into DATEV-ready entries.
Zalando is the largest channel in Europe for fashion sellers, and the one with the highest return rate — in some categories more than half the goods come back. In accounting terms the month's revenue is only settled weeks later, and anyone not keeping sales and returns on the same transaction is permanently working with figures that are still going to move.

What to watch for with Zalando
The return rate moves the whole month
With return rates of forty per cent and up, the booked sales month means nothing without the matching take-backs. Only once a return is attached to the original transaction do the month's revenue, margin and VAT hold — otherwise the correction becomes permanent work spread across two periods.
Commission differs by product group
Zalando does not settle at one flat percentage but per category. Calculate with an average and total margin looks plausible while individual product groups run at a loss — which only becomes visible once commission is posted per line.
