Galaxus accounting with file import
Import files from Galaxus into KudTax and prepare the data they contain for reconciliation and accounting. You start the import by uploading a file.
Galaxus is Switzerland's largest online retailer and opens its marketplace to German sellers as well. The decisive difference from any EU marketplace: Switzerland is a third country. Every delivery is therefore an export and every return a re-import — and without export evidence the exemption on the supply stays a claim.
How Galaxus works with KudTax
01
Export your Galaxus file
Download the appropriate export from Galaxus. The supported file and fields depend on the import format.
02
Upload the file to KudTax
Upload the export file to KudTax. The Galaxus integration processes the data contained in the file.
03
Review the import and matches
Check the imported amounts, dates and references. Add missing documents and review unresolved matches before continuing.
04
Prepare your accounting data
Prepare the imported data for your accounting workflow. Review the posting rules and export file with your accountant.

What to watch for with Galaxus
No export evidence, no exemption
Export supplies are exempt, but only with evidence. Without it the supply becomes taxable after the fact — out of a gross amount already calculated without tax. So the evidence belongs attached to the transaction rather than filed in a folder.
CHF payouts are a transaction of their own
Settle in francs and pay out in euros and a conversion difference arises between the sale date and the payout date. It belongs booked as an exchange difference rather than inside margin, or reported profitability moves with the exchange rate.
Why connect Galaxus with KudTax
Gross vs net fee splitting
Automatically splits net payouts into gross revenues, commissions, and shipping fees so expense accounts stay accurate.
EU-wide dispatch & OSS compliance
Tracks dispatches across EU warehouses and assigns correct country VAT rates for OSS filings.
Period boundary reconciliation
Accurately splits settlements that cut across month-ends into correct calendar accounting months.
DATEV EXTF & document references
Prepares posting data for your DATEV export. Review account assignments, completeness and document references with your accountant.
