Refurbed accounting with file import

Import files from Refurbed into KudTax and prepare the data they contain for reconciliation and accounting. You start the import by uploading a file.

refurbed is Austrian and sells into several German-speaking markets at once. For a merchant that means the same goods, three countries, three VAT rates — and a statutory warranty that on refurbished devices is genuinely claimed. Provisioning for it is not a formality but the difference between reported and actual margin.

What to watch for with Refurbed

Three countries, three VAT rates, one statement

Sales into Germany, Austria and Switzerland are settled together but fall under different rules — and Switzerland is a third country on top of that. Without a split by destination neither the OSS return nor the export can be declared correctly.

Warranty is a future expense

With refurbished electronics warranty claims are to be expected, often months after the sale. Booking only when the device comes back reports a margin in the sales month that never existed. A provision belongs in the period of the sale.
