eBay + KudTax

Connect your eBay seller account with KudTax to automatically reconcile platform fees, marketplace commissions, payouts and VAT rates across all EU countries into DATEV-ready entries.

Since eBay moved to managed payments the money no longer arrives via PayPal but directly from eBay, and with it a transaction report that mixes sales, fees and refunds along one timeline. For bookkeeping that means the bank statement shows a lump transfer while the supporting detail sits in the seller portal. KudTax brings the two sides together.

What to watch for with eBay

Payout and sale come apart

eBay pays out in batches, often several days after the sale and net of every fee. Without the transaction report a lump transfer cannot be broken back down into its orders, and reconciliation ends in a summary entry with nothing behind it.

Case outcomes are not plain refunds

Refunds arising from buyer-protection cases appear as their own line, frequently with no direct link to the original order. Booked as a flat revenue reduction the total is right, but the link to the transaction is missing — which is the part an audit asks for.
