TikTok Shop + KudTax

Connect your TikTok Shop seller account with KudTax to automatically reconcile platform fees, marketplace commissions, payouts and VAT rates across all EU countries into DATEV-ready entries.

TikTok Shop does not settle per order; it closes one statement per shop per day. Revenue, shipping, platform fees, tax components, corrections and withheld amounts are already netted against each other inside it, and only the difference is paid out. Book that difference and every individual line and every VAT rate goes with it. KudTax pulls the statement through the official interface and takes it back apart into the orders it came from.

What to watch for with TikTok Shop

The payout is not the turnover

The daily statement reports a figure with fees, shipping and corrections already deducted. Booked as revenue it understates turnover and drops the entire expense side out of the profit calculation — two errors that mask each other and look plausible in the balance.

Cross-border and local shops are not the same

TikTok flags each shop as local or cross-border. Both can sell the same goods and still need different VAT treatment. Merging the two shops into one total loses exactly the attribute the later assessment depends on.

Withheld amounts are not an expense

Reserves reduce the payout without anything being consumed; they are released later. Recorded as costs they create an expense that never existed, and the later release shows up as income out of nowhere. It belongs on the books as a receivable that clears on release.
