Unzer + KudTax

Connect Unzer to KudTax to clear open items automatically – split net payouts, transaction fees and multi-currency conversions into clean DATEV journal entries.

Unzer is widely used in German retail above all for invoice purchase and instalments, and the provider regularly takes on the default risk as well. That changes the bookkeeping fundamentally: the receivable against the customer transfers, and a receivable against Unzer takes its place. Keep booking against the end customer and you are carrying open items that are no longer yours.

What to watch for with Unzer

On receivable purchase the debtor changes

Where the provider takes the default risk, the receivable has been sold. The balance sheet then carries a receivable against the payment provider rather than the end customer. Not switching that over means chasing customers who paid long ago and reporting open items that no longer exist.

The risk premium is an expense, not a revenue reduction

A premium is withheld for taking on the default risk, and it belongs booked as financing or selling expense. Deducted from turnover it lowers reported revenue while the real cost of offering invoice purchase stays invisible.
