    By its own account 'the no. 1 platform for accounting data and VAT compliance in online retail': a multichannel data connector with DATEV/BMD/SAP/Navision export and integrated VAT compliance (tax.fish).

    Strengths

    • Over 40 connections including Temu, Zalando and Decathlon; export also to BMD, SAP and Navision.
    • Integrated VAT compliance through tax.fish and a tax matrix for OSS.

    Limits

    • Billed per transaction, not per order – at 2.2 transactions per order the calculator is the only way to the real price.
    • No e-invoicing and no AI features per the website.

    Strengths

    • Bookkeeping is a partner product (JERA) with no public price – a per-order comparison is not possible.

    Strengths

    • OSS filing and multi-country VAT are core features, not add-ons.

    Limits

    • Amazon only. Shopify, eBay, Kaufland, PayPal or Stripe have to be booked elsewhere.
    • Billed per document: around €120 at 500 orders versus €49 at KudTax.

    A DATEV connector for e-commerce, SaaS and tax firms – by its own account 'the leading Shopify app, built with tax advisors', with over 4,000 merchants and firms.

    Strengths

    • Very deep Shopify integration, including Shopify Payments and an invoice-printing app.
    • Dedicated SaaS plans for subscription businesses (Stripe Billing, Chargebee).

    Limits

    • Price climbs steeply with volume: €119.99 at 1,000 orders versus €99 at KudTax – and €189.99 versus €129 at 2,000 orders.
    • Key pieces are add-ons: DATEV Buchungsdatenservice, foreign currencies, single-item posting and an e-commerce P&L cost €25–50/month each.

Common questions about switching

Included are providers that do the same job – prepare e-commerce data ready to post, or take over VAT compliance across the EU – and for which this site has a head-to-head comparison with sources and a date checked. KudTax is one of them and is measured with the same criteria.

The transaction data comes from the marketplaces, shops and payment providers, not from the vendor. Whoever switches reconnects the channels; historical periods are fetched again through the platform interfaces. Periods already posted stay in your accounting system.
